To register your company at your home, provide proof that you occupy your main residence in your name: title deed, lease or a recent utility bill. Only the legal representative can do this. There are two cases (Article L123-11-1 of the Commercial Code): if no legal provision or clause in the lease or co-ownership rules prohibits it, there is no time limit; if such a clause exists, it is still possible for up to 5 years from formation, without exceeding the period you occupy the home, after informing the landlord or the building manager in writing beforehand.
Before filing
- If you rent, notify the landlord by registered letter; in a co-owned building, notify the building manager.
- Check your home insurance.
- You can ask for your personal address to be kept confidential in the registry.
Alternative
An approved business domiciliation company provides a domiciliation contract that serves as proof. See registering your company's address. Service-public
